Juwalio Terms of Service

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Jengdev Studio, the trade name of Jnandeep Dev Sarma, a sole proprietor in Assam, India, who makes the Juwalio app. "Juwalio", "we" and "us" mean Jengdev Studio.

By installing or using Juwalio, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information Juwalio uses. Google Play's own terms also apply to downloading Juwalio and to everything you buy in it.

Who can use Juwalio

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country. If you are not yet an adult where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and approve any purchase.

Using Juwalio

We give you a personal license to use Juwalio on your own devices, for your own use. It cannot be sold or passed on. You agree not to:

  • Copy, sell, rent or share the app, or its character, art, animations, sounds or music
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows it
  • Cheat, such as changing your gems, plan or other counts, or using tools that interfere with purchases or the free videos
  • Use Juwalio to break any law

Your content

What you put in Juwalio, such as your goals, notes, lists, photos and documents, is yours. It stays on your phone, and in any backup you choose to make. We do not claim it and we cannot see it.

Because we keep no copy, you are responsible for backing up anything you do not want to lose. You can save a backup to your Google Drive or to a file in Settings → Backup & Restore.

Reminders

Juwalio works hard to remind you on time, but your phone can delay or stop a reminder. Battery savers, your phone maker's settings, permissions you turn off, Do Not Disturb or a restart can all do this.

Please do not rely on Juwalio alone for anything where a late or missed reminder could cause harm, such as medicine, medical care, safety, or legal and payment deadlines.

Not medical advice

Water goals and the water calculator, Calm breathing sessions, your mood and Juwalio's other self-care features are for general wellness only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Talk to a doctor about your health, and stop a breathing session if you feel unwell.

Gems

Gems are Juwalio's in-app currency. You earn them by completing tasks and other things in the app, and you can buy gem packs through Google Play.

  • Gems, and what you get with them, have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, sold or transferred to anyone else.
  • Gems give you a license to use things in the app. They are not your property.
  • Your gems, what you get with them, and the one-time items you buy are kept on your phone. We keep no copy on a server. If you uninstall Juwalio, clear its data or lose your phone without a backup, neither we nor Google Play can bring them back. To keep a copy, connect Google Drive in Settings → Backup & Restore.
  • We may change how gems are earned, what things cost and what is offered. We will not take away gems you already have, except to fix a mistake or cheating.

Juwalio Plus

Juwalio Plus is a subscription with monthly and yearly plans, sold through Google Play. Before you buy, the app and Google Play show what each plan includes and its price in your currency.

  • Your plan renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown then, until you cancel. Google Play charges your payment method.
  • Google Play keeps your plan, so it comes back if you reinstall Juwalio on the same Google account.
  • You can cancel at any time in the Play Store app: your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Your plan stays on until the end of the time you have paid for.
  • When a plan ends, nothing you made is deleted. You keep everything already saved, but you cannot add more past the free limits until you have a plan again or buy more room. Features that need a plan pause, and daily gems and the plan's other benefits stop.
  • If a plan's price changes, Google Play tells you before the new price applies, and you can cancel.

Other purchases

You can also buy one-time items through Google Play, such as gem packs and the other items shown in the Market. They are added to Juwalio on your phone as soon as Google Play confirms the payment. Like gems, they are kept on your phone and in your backup.

Payments and refunds

  • Every payment goes through Google Play, under Google Play's terms. We never see your card or bank details.
  • Prices include the taxes Google Play charges in your country.
  • Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. You can ask Google Play for a refund from your order history, or email us with your order ID and we will help where we can.
  • If you live in the European Economic Area or the UK, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. When you buy something that is delivered or starts right away, you ask for it to start at once, and you understand that you lose this right once it has been delivered or started. This does not affect your rights if something you bought does not work.

Free videos

In Market → Gems, you can choose to watch a short video from Google AdMob for free gems. Videos are not always available, and gems are added only when a video has been watched as required. We may change how many videos or gems are offered.

Changes to Juwalio

We keep improving Juwalio, so we may add, change or remove features. If a change takes away something you paid for and still have time left on, we will offer a fair replacement or a refund where the law requires it.

Ownership

Juwalio, including its name, its character, art, animations, sounds and music, belongs to Jengdev Studio and is protected by law. Every right not given to you in these terms is kept by us. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC.

Other services

Juwalio uses services from Google: Google Play for downloads and purchases, Google sign-in and Google Drive for backups, and Google AdMob for the free videos. Google's own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.

No promises beyond the law

Juwalio is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we do not promise that it will always work, be free of errors, or never lose data.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for lost data, or for missed reminders or deadlines. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid for Juwalio in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Juwalio at any time by uninstalling it. If you break these terms, for example by cheating, your license to use Juwalio ends. The sections on ownership, no promises, limits on our liability and the law still apply after that.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Assam, India, can decide any dispute. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of its laws that cannot be set aside, and you may also go to its courts.

Please email us first. Most problems can be fixed quickly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will post them on this page and change the date at the top. For an important change, we will let you know before it applies. If you keep using Juwalio after a change, you accept the new terms.
